Recently, I worked on the musical design of the exposition as part of the 20th anniversary of MMOMA. The idea was to collect old records of Ilya Lagutenko (Mumiy Troll), turn them into ambient drones, record them back on tape, and play the recording endlessly throughout the entire exposition.

While I was working on this project, I came up with another idea: “What if music plays “itself” endlessly and constantly changes during playback?”, That is, if you come to the exposition several times, then you hear the same composition, but as if constantly different part of it.

In this project, I realised this idea by creating 16 melodic patterns on Monomachine , that changes randomly, each time creating a unique pattern. And also I’ve made, a kind of virtual video-exhibition, to roughly understand how it all works.

I created 16 generative patterns, on the Elektron Monomachine, which play in a chaotic manner, each time creating a unique pattern. A kind of musical kaleidoscope, where the picture crumbles and gathers back, subject to some kind of uncontrolled process. To achieve that, I've used all 3 LFO's on each machine as random control for multiple parameters. Then I've separate signal thru patchbay, and located them over Roland Space Echo, and Strymon Blue Sky effects. I've also processed camera sound thru those effects.
